REEMA TRAYNOR
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Reema is an experienced media lawyer with over 25 years of practice in the United Kingdom and the UAE. Her vast experience includes media litigation, pre and post-publication content advice for broadcast, print and digital publishers and commercial, corporate, policy and regulatory expertise.

Prior to establishing Reemedia Consultancy, Reema was the General Counsel for Sky News Arabia, the 24 hour Pan Arab news channel. She advised across all areas of Sky News Arabia's broadcasting and digital media business. She advised on general commercial and regulatory matters across Sky News Arabia’s global bureau operations and was Board appointed, responsible for the corporate governance function. Previous to Sky News Arabia, Reema was the Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs and Companies Registrar for the Abu Dhabi Media Zone Authority – twofour54. Reema was instrumental in developing the media regulatory policy and legislation for the free zone. Reema also managed the Abu Dhabi Film Commission and was part of the team that introduced the first production incentive rebate in the Middle East; combining her love of film with her professional experience, Reema was involved in a variety of the productions including blockbusters: Mission Impossible, Star Wars - The Force Awakens, Fast and Furious 7 and Tiger Zinda Hai.

In the UK, Reema worked for Channel 4 Television for 10 years advising on legal and compliance pre and post-broadcast matters across all genres involving some of the most groundbreaking shows including talents such as Ali G, Chris Evans and Graham Norton. Earlier in her career, Reema was a litigator involved in high profile defamation cases. Reema graduated from San Diego University with a Bachelors in Political Science and Film and undertook her postgraduate studies at City University London. She qualified as a lawyer in England and Wales in 1995, is admitted to the Law Society of Ireland and speaks conversational Arabic.

KEELY MARTIN
CONSULTANT

Keely has extensive experience in both commercial and regulatory aspects of the entertainment and television distribution sector, most recently as Senior Legal Counsel and Deputy Registrar for the Media Zone Authority - twofour54 Abu Dhabi. Keely started her career at The Walt Disney Company working in the Media Distribution Department on Disney programming deals for BENELUX territories, followed by three years with Turner Broadcasting working in their London office across all commercial matters for the MENA and Turkish markets.

Keely moved to the UAE in 2017 where she was legal counsel at OSN in Dubai, responsible for drafting and negotiating channel carriage deals, programming acquisition agreements as well as developing broadcast codes and guidance to ensure regional content compliance. Keely has a reputation for fostering and maintaining excellent working relationships, being reliable, responsive and pro-active in finding creative solutions to commercial needs. Keely graduated from University College London with a Bachelors in French and Spanish and undertook post graduate studies in Law at BPP Law School in London. She qualified as a lawyer in England and Wales in 2012 and speaks fluent French.

Lucy Evans
CONSULTANT

Lucy is a lawyer with extensive experience within the commercial media sector in the UAE.

She spent 6 years working as part of the in-house legal team at OSN in Dubai. During this time, Lucy gained significant experience by working across a broad range of legal matters from corporate regulatory to technology, channel distribution, programming acquisition, content regulation and general commercial media matters. She also recently completed a six-month secondment with Clyde & Co Dubai office in their litigation team.

Lucy is known for her unwavering approach to every task she puts her mind to accomplishing. She completed her postgraduate legal studies at BPP University, and the University of Law (London) alongside her full-time paralegal role at OSN and, following successful completion of her SRA solicitors training contract, was admitted to the Law Society of England and Wales in 2022.

LYNN ABU KUHAIL
JUNIOR CONSULTANT

Lynn, proficient in Arabic and English, is a junior legal and regulatory consultant with over two years of experience in corporate and commercial matters and regulatory work. Previously, Lynn worked as a Legal Associate at twofour54 FZ LLC and the Media Zone Authority – Abu Dhabi, where she worked with the wider legal and regulatory teams on a variety of matters (i.e., compliance with the Economic Substance Regulations and Anti-Money Laundering legislation) acting as a liaison with different government entities and drafting various legal commercial agreements etc.). Lynn has an LLB from University of Law, London and completed her Legal Practice Course from BPP University, London, United Kingdom; she is in the process of qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales.
